PHOTODIVE INTERNATIONAL is a diving oriented, educational organization founded in 1988 by Rick Tegeler. Its ongoing primary directive is the creation of an extensive library of underwater images for use in conjunction with articles, public awareness presentations, the promotion of eco-tourism and the development of definitive publications, all dedicated to the preservation of ocean and coastal ecosystems and environments around the world.

Palau scenery Diving since 1959, Rick is an award winning, internationally known and recognized photo/journalist currently residing in British Columbia. For the past forty years, he has dived, photographed, written about and traveled extensively in the band of tropics around the world amassing a stock library of over 50,000 images. His sensitive camera eye captures the mystique and incredible beauty of the little known world beneath the surface of the world's oceans and many of the resulting photographs are masterpieces. His interests have taken him to the Red Sea, Fiji, the Cook Islands, Sri Lanka, the Netherland Antilles, Micronesia, Central and South America, all over the Caribbean, the Philippines, Australia, the Maldives, Papua New Guinea and many more exotic locations. Rick's images and corresponding text have graced the pages of numerous, major magazines, publications and books. In addition to his work in North America, he is currently diving, exploring and writing with a focus on areas of the Indo-Pacific.

In British Columbia they are sold in the Whistler, Nelson, Slocan Lake, Vancouver Island and Sunshine Coast regions. In Alberta, they are marketed in Banff, Lake Louise, Edmonton and Jasper. RED MOUNTAIN PHOTO, another division of PHOTODIVE INTERNATIONAL, is a photographic mission to capture in stunning imagery the 'magic of the mountains' and the legacy of silver mining in the Kootenay region of south eastern British Columbia.
